 1st TEACHERS MEETING: PISA, ITALY

We welcomed our colleagues from all over Europe on Sunday 16th November at Pisa train station in a happy and cheerful atmosphere.
The day after, in the morning the teachers visited our school guided by our students that explained the complexity of our courses and the various facilities of the buildings.
After lunch in a nice cafeteria in the city centre, we got started with the "serious staff".
The first meeting was dedicated to the following issues:
 • planning the activities to be developed during the future gatherings with students;
 • fixing dates of following meetings in the different countries;
 • more accurate description of next meeting in Greece;
 • communication and dissemination tools.
 Goodies and a big kettle of coffee helped us to finish our task. And then dinner time arrived....a classical Italian must: pizza! We went to a well known pizzeria in the suburbs and enjoyed good food and good company with teachers and headmasters. Our Greek colleague, Thanasis, made us a wonderful surprise: a violin concert! He played so well that we couldn't help clapping and calling for encore!
On Tuesday morning some teachers took the opportunity to visit Pisa and nearby cities, others attended our lessons at school. The students were very nice to them and asked a lot of questions. The afternoon meeting started with the revision of the project contents; especially for the financial section. We revised the activities to be developed in different countries in preparation for our final goal: to make a proposal to the European Parliament.
We had dinner at a traditional tuscan restaurant: another chance to taste great food in a warm and relaxed atmosphere.
The last day, after a free morning for sightseeing and shopping, we had a full immersion in the world of e-twinning, under the supervision of our young French colleague Natacha Hansen.
So the farewell moment came and sadly we had to say goodbye to our new friends. It has been a great start for our project! We hope to keep in touch for the next two years and even more!
